DIL BECHARA REVIEW

  On the whole, Dil Bechara is a dull fare. In normal circumstances, the film would have not been able to do well in the cinemas, but Sushant Singh Rajput’s recent suicide and the consequent public sentiments for the late actor will ensure that a lot of people watch the film on the streaming platform (Disney+ Hotstar) on which it has been released. Dil Bechara, which premiered on Disney+Hotstar on Friday, is a few notches shy of the benchmark that Sushant Singh Rajput set for himself with his more accomplished films. But watch it nonetheless to celebrate a career that merited a much, much longer run Dil Bechara is not just a film. It is equal parts dirge, and catharsis.
